SAVANNAH, Ga., December 21, 2010 - Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. recently named Doreen Gonzalez as senior manager, G650 Procurement. She reports to Bill Williams, vice president, Materials.
In her new role, Gonzalez oversees the procurement of materials used in the manufacturing of the ultra-large-cabin, ultra-long-range Gulfstream G650 business jet.
Gonzalez, who joined Gulfstream in 1992, previously served as a senior purchasing manager for Gulfstream’s aircraft completion facility in Savannah, most recently focusing on the sourcing for the G650 interior. Before that, she managed the completion material contracts for the award-winning Gulfstream Enhanced Vision System (EVS). She also worked as a subcontract administrator for the company’s Production Purchasing department and Savannah Service Center and as senior project manager for a number of Gulfstream V outsourced interior completions.
Prior to joining Gulfstream, Gonzalez worked for General Dynamics’ Convair division in San Diego and Ford Aerospace in Newport Beach, Calif. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Long Beach.
