SAVANNAH, Ga., June 25, 2010 - Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has appointed Joanne Davis director, Government Contracts. She reports to Jim Dempsey, vice president, Sustaining and Government Programs.
In her new position, Davis is responsible for leading her group’s support of Gulfstream’s U.S. and International Government Programs and Sales activities. That includes engagement efforts for head-of-state, multi-mission and special-mission aircraft sales, modification, maintenance and support services.
Davis came to Gulfstream from General Dynamics Land Systems in London, Ontario, Canada, where she worked for nine years in several positions, including repair and overhaul manager, enabling process manager and, most recently, contracts manager. As contracts manager, she negotiated, executed and administered high-value, multiyear product support contracts for international customers and managed an international contracts team.
Prior to joining General Dynamics, Davis was a proposal/project manager and a project manager consultant for General Motors.
Davis earned a bachelor’s diploma in business administration from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, and holds a certification in management and administration from the Canadian Institute of Management.
