GULFSTREAM PROMOTES WILLIAM D. “DAVID” CRAIG III TO DIRECTOR OF TECHNICAL INFORMATION
SAVANNAH , Ga. , May 24, 2006 – William D. “David” Craig III has been promoted to director of technical information, Gulfstream Aerospace. In this position, he will oversee the business-jet manufacturer’s Computerized Maintenance Program (CMP.net™) and the Technical Publications and Maintainability/Reliability departments.
An 18-year Gulfstream employee, Craig began his career as a technical writer and most recently was the manager of the Technical Information department. In addition to coordinating various customer-feedback initiatives, he has led the effort to convert the company’s mainframe-based publishing system to the present PC-based system.
Before joining Gulfstream, Craig retired from the U.S. Army as a chief warrant officer, specializing in helicopter operations. He served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War as a helicopter pilot and was awarded the Air Medal with Valor.
Craig holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Troy University in Alabama .
