GULFSTREAM'S LONDON LUTON SERVICE CENTER RECEIVES PART 145 APPROVAL FROM THE EUROPEAN AVIATION SAFETY AGENCY
New EASA Certification Replaces Joint Aviation Authorities

SAVANNAH, Ga., Dec. 13, 2004 – Gulfstream Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, has received Part 145 approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for its service center located at London-Luton Airport in England.

Issued November 29, the EASA approval allows Gulfstream's U.K. facility to perform base and line maintenance on business-jet aircraft. This approval replaces the previous Joint Aviation Authorities repair station authorization.

"We set our goals to meet the certification deadlines and, with much well-spent effort, we met all of them. I congratulate everyone here at Luton for a job well done," said Larry Flynn, president, product support, Gulfstream. "This approval enables us to continue to provide business-jet owners and operators the best aviation maintenance services available in this region."

The Gulfstream Luton service center meets the maintenance needs of European and Middle Eastern business-jet owners. Luton provides comprehensive service for current Gulfstream models - the G550™, G500™, G400™ and G300™. Additionally, it provides service for legacy Gulfstream aircraft - the GV®, GIV® / IV-SP®, GIII® and the GII® - and maintenance for Citation, Falcon and Hawker aircraft owners. Next year, Luton will begin servicing G200™ aircraft as well as the G450™ and G350™ models when they enter service. In January, Gulfstream's Luton Service Center became the first aircraft maintenance facility outside the United States to receive the Federal Aviation Administration's Diamond Award of Excellence for aircraft maintenance technician training. Additionally, the facility recently doubled its hangar space to accommodate its growing customer base.

The Luton service center became Gulfstream's first service center to be operated outside the United States following its acquisition in April 2003.
