News Release
GULFSTREAM AIRCRAFT OWNERS AND OPERATORS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO MAINTENANCE DATA -- ANYTIME, ANYWHERE
Avtrak Globalnet Selected to Develop Gulfstream CMP. net™ – a Web-based Maintenance Tracking System
SAVANNAH, Ga., Feb. 12, 2004 – To provide Gulfstream aircraft owners and operators' more accessibility to their aircraft maintenance records, Gulfstream Aerospace has entered into an agreement with Avtrak Inc. to develop Gulfstream CMP.net™, a Web-based maintenance tracking software program. Using Avtrak's Web-based GlobalNet maintenance tracking system as the foundation for Gulfstream CMP.net, aircraft maintenance customers will have the ability to track their maintenance activities online via a password-protected Web site.
“The Avtrak GlobalNet technology was designed with the end-user in mind,” said Larry Flynn, president, product support, Gulfstream. “We are adopting this system to even further improve the already high level of customer service our owners and operators demand and deserve. Gulfstream CMP.net promises to offer our customers what they have asked for – real-time input and retrieval of maintenance information and the ability to track their mixed fleet of aircraft with a single system.”
Gulfstream CMP.net will replace Gulfstream's Computerized Maintenance Program (CMP) later this year. Once fully implemented, Gulfstream aircraft owners will be able to access their aircraft maintenance records 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Gulfstream CMP.net will feature numerous new maintenance functions, while retaining the service options traditionally available through CMP.
“We are excited to be able to partner with Gulfstream in bringing to their customers a first-class, industry-proven solution,” said Joe Hertzler, president, Avtrak, Inc. "Gulfstream's legacy CMP earned its sterling reputation for quality, reliability, safety and accuracy, and we fully intend to protect that hard-earned reputation with Gulfstream CMP.net.”
Gulfstream CMP.net, which is expected to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2004, will be accessed only through myGulfstream.com, Gulfstream's proprietary customer Internet site, to ensure the confidentiality of customer information.
