GULFSTREAM AEROSPACE APPOINTS MIKE ROWLAND VICE PRESIDENT FOR G100/G200 PROGRAMS
Savannah, Georgia - October 8, 2001 - Mike Rowland has been appointed vice president for Gulfstream100®/Gulfstream 200® programs for Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. The G100 and G200 aircraft are recent additions to the Gulfstream business aircraft.
In his new role, Rowland will oversee the G100 and G200 programs and manage Gulfstream's relationship with Israel Aircraft Industries, the Tel Aviv company that manufactures the two aircraft before they are flown to the United States for painting and interior outfitting.
"Mike has an excellent background in program management," said Pres Henne, Gulfstream senior vice president, programs. "He is well suited to lead this two-aircraft, multi-site, international effort."
Rowland, a 13-year Gulfstream employee, has previously held executive positions in the company's program office and military marketing department. He most recently led the company's EC-37 program, Gulfstream's special mission application of its GV aircraft.
Prior to joining Gulfstream, Rowland was director of program management for Textron Aerostructures Corp., which is now known as Aerostructures Corp. He earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Georgia State University.
