SAVANNAH, Ga., June 7, 2001 - Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation launched myGulfstream.com at its 35th Annual Gulfstream Operators' Conference June 5-8 in Savannah. myGulfstream.com is a secure, Web-based, customer communications vehicle that's accessible 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world where Internet access is available. myGulfstream.com offers a wide range of real-time, online communication and collaboration capabilities.
myGulfstream.com streamlines and simplifies communication between customers and their Gulfstream representatives. The technology will enable customers to exchange information online as well as to track and collaborate with their Gulfstream representative throughout the sales, contracts, completion and delivery business cycles. Progress updates on the status of aircraft production and completions will be available through digital photography.
"myGulfstream.com technology is an exciting evolution of Gulfstream's e.Business capabilities," says Kelvin Mason, chief information officer. "It enables our customer extranet to make the transition from a fleet orientation to individualized customer portals. A cross-functional, in-house team successfully defined and executed the vision. We're excited with the results and we're looking forward to working closely with our customers to identify new enhancements."
The program provides access to online Computerized Maintenance Program cutoff reports and task cards. "We are preparing to deliver online technical documents,"
Mason says. "By the fourth quarter of the year, our customers will be able to download pages from aircraft-specific maintenance manuals and place online part orders using an innovative, sophisticated graphical Interactive Parts Catalog. In the future, we'll provide additional Gulfstream aircraft services information and documentation."
"The ability to collaborate on mission-critical issues by sharing important, time-sensitive information and visual communications underscores Gulfstream's continued commitment to exceeding customer expectations," says Bill Boisture, Gulfstream's president and chief operating officer. "This new communications technology utilizing online services is just the beginning of the e.Gulfstream era."
In addition to customer- and aircraft-specific data immediately available on myGulfstream.com, the new system also provides customers with access to a wide variety of information including Customer Bulletins, MOLs, "The Member Ship" and Gulfstream Events. Customers also can access flight-tracking software, weather, stocks and other customizable links through myGulfstream.com.
"Beta testing has been initiated," Mason says. "We have asked customers to visit the customized portals and review the wide array of e.services and e.products myGulfstream.com offers. Based on favorable initial reactions, we've begun the transition from the customer extranet to myGulfstream.com."
