GULFSTREAM'S DALLAS SERVICE CENTER AWARDED FAA'S DIAMOND CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE
FAA Again Recognizes Gulfstream's Commitment to Service Training
Savannah, Ga., April 6, 2001 - Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation's Dallas Service Center has been awarded the Federal Aviation Administration's Diamond Certificate of Excellence Award. The award is the agency's top honor for recognizing an organization's commitment to training its aircraft service technicians. Gulfstream's Savannah Service Center received the same award in January.
"Our company is committed to employee development and our employees are committed to improving their knowledge and skill base," said Dennis Braner, Dallas vice president and general manager. "The result is that Gulfstream continues to provide its customers with improved service."
Gulfstream's Dallas Service Center invested nearly $200,000 and more than 7,500 hours in training last year.
Individual technicians reach the Diamond Award level, the highest of five levels, by receiving a minimum of 100 hours of training. Company recognition is achieved when more than 25 percent of eligible employees reach this training milestone.
The award was presented by Gene Bland, Aviation Safety Inspector -Airworthiness, from the FAA's Dallas Flight Standards District Office.
"Gulfstream is dedicated to ensuring that our customers have the industry's most highly trained technicians working on their aircraft," said Larry Flynn, senior vice president, aircraft services. "We are honored that the FAA has once again recognized our commitment."
