GULFSTREAM AIRCRAFT SERVICES TO FURTHER IMPROVE WORLDWIDE PARTS SUPPORT SYSTEM
Savannah, GA., Dec. 6, 2001 - Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has entered into an agreement with Memphis, Tenn.-based Aerospace Products International (API) which calls for API to conduct a detailed assessment of the company's worldwide parts logistic system and to make any recommendations for required improvements.
Gulfstream evaluates its spare parts inventory levels and fulfillment processes on an ongoing basis to keep ahead of its rapidly growing worldwide fleet. For the past two years, Gulfstream has been rated number one in product support by Professional Pilot Magazine.
"We are continually seeking ways to even further improve our response times to our customers around the world," said Larry Flynn, Gulfstream senior vice president, Aircraft Services. "We have retained API to help in this process. We are confident the results of this effort will benefit our owners and operators worldwide," he added.
API, a major distributor of aircraft parts, offers a wide array of integrated logistics solutions exclusively focused in aftermarket support activities.
